DIAGNOdent diagnostic laser
The DIAGNOdent diagnostic laser is used to detect early pathological changes in the structures of hard tooth tissues, such as early caries, enamel demineralisation, and hidden caries, which are not visible to the naked eye. Early detection allows for less invasive caries treatment and the preservation of as much tooth tissue as possible. It is an easy, fast and painless laser diagnosis method.
The laser works by sending a beam of light (with a wavelength of 655 nm) towards the tooth. This light causes fluorescence (measured on a scale of 1 to 99) in carious lesions, thanks to which it is possible to detect caries before the cavity appears. The results are then displayed on the screen.
DIAGNOdent is an excellent tool for detecting changes during regular visits to the dentist. It has a test efficiency of 90%.
