3D PHOTOS are THE foundation OF EFFECTIVE TREATMENT
Diagnostics is the foundation of treatment

An accurate diagnosis is the basis for effective treatment. Diagnostics allows for a thorough analysis of the patient’s state of health and the choice of the best treatment method. For this reason, before any treatment is started, a thorough analysis of health and dentition is carried out, and only on that basis will the doctors prepare an individual patient treatment plan.

Types of photo in the X-ray laboratory

X-ray of teeth in the X-ray laboratory: types of photos

3D tomography – Thanks to the use of a three-dimensional radiological examination, treatment can be better planned in all areas of dentistry. Tomography allows for precise and immediate analysis of anatomical structures (bone tissue). 3D tomography
Panoramic photo – This shows all teeth from the front and assesses the condition of the entire dentition. It is taken ahead of planned surgical, orthodontic, implant-based, prosthetic or other dental treatment. Panoramic photo
Cephalometric photo – Also known as a side picture. It is taken ahead of planned orthodontic treatment. Cephalometric photo
Tooth image – A basic examination which is often necessary for decisions about further treatment. It is most often performed before, during and after root canal treatment in order to confirm the proper course of treatment. Tooth image

Modern diagnostic tools

At the Cichoń Dental Centre, we provide comprehensive dental care to patients, and each treatment is always preceded by detailed research, guaranteeing the selection of an appropriate treatment method. For diagnostic purposes we use modern digital X-ray equipment, 3D computer tomography, microscopes and intraoral cameras.

Our X-ray laboratory has the latest diagnostic equipment:

  • Tomography device with 3D imaging (computed tomography). This is a device with which the dentist simulates implant treatment, bone regeneration, and sinus lift. It also allows you to record the course of structures such as nerves or blood vessels.
  • Intraoral photo equipment, allowing for a detailed image of the tooth (crown and root, together with the canals and tissues surrounding the root).
  • Panoramic X-ray, used for taking pantomographic and cephalometric photographs, necessary for any orthodontic, implant-based, surgical or endodontic analysis.

The devices we use at the Cichoń Dental Centre make it possible to detect any changes in the surrounding tissues.

Frequently asked questions

Is tomographic examination painful?

Tomography is not painful.

How long does a tomographic examination take?

It takes several seconds.

Is tooth inflammation visible in the X-ray picture?

Radiological examination makes it possible to observe chronic inflammation of tissues around the teeth that has existed for at least a dozen or so days. Fresh (several days old) changes will remain invisible, as will inflammatory changes within the pulp of the tooth.

What is a pantomographic picture?

This is a so-called panorama of the teeth, i.e., a photo of the entire teeth. It includes maxilla, mandible, dental arches and tissues surrounding the teeth.
